The RI&E can simultaneously be related to the organisation’s risk matrix, before and after control measures. On the basis of the RI&E, the result is presented in an action plan.
RI&E knows many varieties, like carrying out a Bow Tie analysis. This is a method to present and analyse causal relations for priority risks, with the aim to identify control measures and to analyse the failure of these measures. A Bow Tie provides a visual overview of all plausible incident scenarios that might occur during a particular risk or hazard.
